The Boost & Beauty Update is out now!

Hello, everybody!

It is finally here!

The Boost & Beauty Update is now available. This is much more than a fresh coat of paint: SLOTMANIA’s visuals, interface, progression and core gameplay have been extensively rebuilt to make the game clearer, more satisfying and better suited to living on your desktop.

A compact list of every major change can be found under FULL PATCH NOTES at the end of this post.

SLOTMANIA has received a complete graphical overhaul.

The machine and its entire interface have been redesigned from scratch with readability and player comfort in mind. Menus are cleaner, important information is easier to find and buttons and indicators should now be much easier to understand.

The new menu is divided into three areas:

• Upgrades area: Manage your unlocked Upgrade Cartridges.

• Player area: View your STATS, upgrade your machine LEVEL, consult the GUIDE and change your SETTINGS.

• Vending area: Visit the CONVERTER and any new vending machines added in future updates.

The spin purchasing system has been removed. It is no more.

Spins are now unlimited, so you can pull the lever as many times as you want.

Do not feel like pulling it yourself? Activate AUTO Mode and let the machine continue spinning after a short cooldown, which can be reduced through Machine Levels.

SLOTMANIA will also generate COINS while the game is closed. Your offline earnings are based on a COINS-per-minute rate that can be improved with Upgrade Cartridges.

Both features have been added as per requested by the community and should help SLOTMANIA feel much more like the idle incremental game it was always supposed to be.

BOOST MODE is now one of SLOTMANIA’s core mechanics.

Landing three DIAMONDS charges 25% of the new BOOST BAR. Once filled, BOOST MODE can be activated whenever you choose.

During BOOST MODE, prizes accumulate inside the POT instead of being paid out immediately. Additional DIAMONDS extend the mode, while landing three DICE multiplies the accumulated POT, starting at x2.

Machine Levels can eventually unlock second and third BOOST BAR charges. Entering BOOST MODE with additional charges grants even larger POT multipliers.

A new symbol has been added: the ADVANCE.

Landing three ADVANCE symbols grants an Advance, allowing you to nudge one reel forward to its next symbol. Two SEVENS with the third one only a position away? Bring it down!

Machine Levels can increase the number of Advances awarded and eventually allow several to be used during the same spin.

The previous upgrade system has been replaced with collectible Upgrade Cartridges, most of them supporting up to 400 levels.

Current Cartridges include:

• Cherry Up! — Increases the CHERRIES payout.

• Prize Cola — Increases all BASIC symbol payouts.

• Tap! Tap! — Increases BOOST BAR capacity.

• AFK 200ml — Increases offline earnings.

• Lucky Ice — Increases the multiplier awarded by DICE.

• Pink SODA — Improves COINS-to-LILLIES conversion.

  

More Cartridges may be added in future updates. Suggestions are always welcome!

SLOTMANIA also features more than 50 Machine Levels. Each level requires COINS and completed spins, increases the level cap of every Cartridge and unlocks new mechanics.

These unlocks include faster AUTOSPINS, additional Advances and LILLIES, new Cartridges, multiple Advances per spin, extra BOOST charges and much more.

Upgrade your machine to discover everything it can do!

The new Vending Area currently only houses the CONVERTER, which exchanges COINS for LILLIES.

Because some upgrades require LILLIES, the CONVERTER gives you a reliable alternative to waiting for them to appear on the reels. The Pink SODA Cartridge improves the amount received from each conversion. More vending machines may move in later!

Finally: a proper guide!

The GUIDE section in the Player Area contains a prize table and diagrams explaining the machine’s buttons, symbols and indicators.

Upgrade menus also include descriptions for every Cartridge and Machine Level unlock, so you no longer need to guess what the mysterious glowing thing is trying to tell you. Have a look at a few!

A new Settings menu has been added with:

• Volume control.

• Manual machine scaling.

• Mute while minimized.

• Launch on Windows startup.

• Full progress reset.

The Boost&Beauty update also adds multi-display support, a new local save system and Steam Cloud synchronization.

Now for the not-so-fun part.

Because nearly every major progression system has changed, old save files cannot be safely migrated. Updating the game will therefore reset local progress, Steam statistics and previously unlocked achievements.

Some achievements connected to removed mechanics have also been replaced or retired.

However, players who unlocked the First Spin achievement before the update will be permanently marked as legacy players and receive a Founder’s Plaque displayed on their machine.

It is our small way of recognizing everyone who supported SLOTMANIA before it became what it is today.

Please note that resetting your Steam statistics and achievements after migration will also remove the Founder’s Plaque. This is not intended.

This is the largest update SLOTMANIA has received so far, and we sincerely hope these new mechanics make the machine more entertaining and rewarding to keep around on your desktop.
